KJERSTIN MIX

Growing up in Lincoln, Nebraska Kjerstin enrolled herself in several activities to fill up the long cloudy winters. At first she tried gymnastics and at twelve she found her affinity towards dance. Falling for the New Mexico landscape she graduated with her B.A in dance from U.N.M. Their well rounded program included Laban and Bartinieff Movement, Feldenkrais, and Pilates which brought her to the Pilates method through Nora Daniel. Her dream of dance as a healing art became manifest through this up and coming method. She was teaching before she had completed her training with Core Dynamics in 1999. Believing that a great teacher is always a student she completed her Massage Therapy Certificate in 2002. With in integrity to find several avenues of movement therapy she found Rodney Yee in New Mexico for his Teacher Training in yoga in 2003 and she is working to complete her prerequisites for the Anusara Yoga program as well.

Amy Nicoletta

As a young girl growing up in Claremont, Amy found she was interested in health and the body. She enjoyed giving back rubs to her family and was told she had very strong hands. In her early adult years while working at The Claremont Club in the ’80’s, she had her first
professional massage and developed friendships with the massage therapist there. With her interest in the human body and encouragement from her massage therapist friends, she enrolled in a massage therapy program at Southern CA School of Massage in Riverside. It was there that Amy realized this was the right field of work for her.
After beginning her career as a massage therapist in 1991
at The Claremont Club, she continued to take courses and broaden her modalities beyond Swedish/American massage studying Deep Tissue, Sports, Acupressure, Foot Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Prenatal and Oncology massage techniques. She also took subsequent courses at the School of Holistic Touch in Ontario, CA and got her California State Certification (CAMTC.) After many years of working solely as a massage therapist, Amy went back to school and got her Cosmetology license. In addition to her massage practice, she gives European facials and provides waxing services. Amy worked at The Claremont
Club/Ambiance Day Spa and Salon for 29 years. Needing a change and wanting more independence, Amy sought to be an independent contractor and was lucky to join Center of Gravity Pilates in the Fall of 2021. She has been working, happily, there for almost 5 years.
